It’s time to change passwords again!

It seems like we just changed all our passwords and now it’s time to change our passwords again. A group of hackers have released password information for 5 million Gmail accounts.

If your account is part of that list, you might (or might not) have received emails from different websites prompting you to change your password at their site. Unfortunately, some people use the same password for multiple sites, so if one of the sites gets compromised, all the other sites with the same password are also compromised. So, people, don’t use the same password in multiple places!

How does that affect your WordPress site?
If you use the same password for your WordPress site and your Gmail account, you need to change your WordPress password (as well as your Gmail password) right away.

Even if you don’t use the same password for your WordPress site and your Gmail account, it’s still wise to change your password, just in case.

Unfortunately, this goes for all your other non-Gmail and non-WordPress accounts as well.
